The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee a large-scale industrial refurbishment project in Wigan, commencing in March and running for approximately 18 months.

This is a key leadership role on a significant industrial scheme, working alongside a strong and established site team structure, including a Senior Site Manager and a Site/Assistant Site Manager reporting into you. The role offers the opportunity to take full operational control of site delivery on a technically challenging refurbishment programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day site operations on a major industrial refurbishment project

• Oversee programme delivery to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and within budget

• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour

• Drive high standards of health & safety, quality assurance, and site compliance

• Monitor progress against programme and proactively resolve issues

• Chair site meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders

• Support and mentor junior site management staff

• Ensure accurate reporting, record keeping, and documentation control

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on large-scale industrial or refurbishment projects

• Excellent leadership and team management skills

• Strong knowledge of UK health & safety regulations and site compliance

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and subcontract packages

• CSCS Black Card (Essential)

• SMSTS (Essential)

• First Aid at Work (Essential)
